Nahla Al Mahmood

Nahla is the Owner of LalaBella Events and Flowers, an Event Management Company plus flower and chocolate retail shop in Bahrain. LalaBella Events and Flowers specializes in full event planning and execution for social events such as including weddings, baby receptions, corporate events, exhibitions and flower workshops. The company also offers flower arrangements, chocolates, gift wrapping and gift items within their retail section of the business. Nahla has also launched their first internationally certified Flower School in the Middle East. LalaBella specializes in offering unique flower arrangement services, chocolate and unique seasonal gifts for all occasions. Nahla has led LalaBella to have become a pioneer in the events and flower industry in Bahrain since its founding in 2012 and has two retail locations within the country. The vision for the future that Nahla has for LalaBella is to be the first choice for clients when they are planning an event or thinking of sending a special gift. She is focuses on achieving this vision through being a leader in customer service and having a strong team behind her to support the success of the company and become a leader and trend setter within their field, both locally and internationally. Nahla is also currently a Board Member in the International Business and Professional Women Club (BPW). Her areas of expertise include marketing, customer services, designing, operations and R&D. She holds a Bsc in Management Information System, and is currently pursuing a Masters in Design Management t the Royal University for Women.

What Nahla hopes to gain from the VV GROW Fellowship: Nahla hopes to learn about team management, specifically how to find the right employees, increase retention and maintain motivation for staff. She also hopes to strengthen financial management and increase profitability. She hopes to learn from fellows on how they manage their businesses, their key issues and how they overcame challenges.
