Monika Shukla

Monika Shukla is the Co-founder and CEO of Buzzworthy Ventures Private Limited (Humble Bee) and a dedicated advocate of micro-entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship. A silver medalist from IIT Kharagpur, she began her career as a technologist at Goldman Sachs before pursuing a Master’s in Liberal Arts and Leadership at Ashoka University, where she gained a deep understanding of fields ranging from rural economics to public policy. Monika’s journey in social entrepreneurship took off with the launch of LetsEndorse, the world’s first marketplace for social innovations. Over the past decade, she has deployed over 450 social innovations across India and pioneered the UDYAMITA model for micro-entrepreneurship, which has been successfully operationalized in 115 districts across 5 states. Her commitment to empowering women through micro-entrepreneurship is now driving her mission to revolutionize the beekeeping landscape in India. By integrating technology with grassroots impact, Monika aims to equip small-scale beekeepers with scientific knowledge, continuous support through tech solutions, and robust market linkages. Her vision is to enhance hive productivity, bridge information gaps, reduce gender inequality, and bolster local biodiversity and climate resilience, thereby ushering India into a Golden Revolution.
