Focus Areas
Khanna brings over 21 years of experience leading and scaling market-based, gender-responsive solutions for inclusive economic growth across India, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, and Kenya. Over the years, her work has been around sustainable livelihoods, climate-resilient agriculture, sustainable supply chains, women’s entrepreneurship, and social finance.
Currently, she works as an independent consultant and is working on assignments related to designing new sovereign interventions for a multilateral organization, including accessing global climate adaptation funds and advising development partners on inclusive economic growth, climate-resilient livelihoods, and women-led MSME models.
Previously, she held senior leadership roles, such as Country Manager (India) with Solidaridad and Senior Programme Manager with FCDO (formerly DFID) and has worked with UNDP-India, Edukans Foundation, ACCESS Development Services, Aide et Action, and SRIJAN. She also undertook a short assignment with the World Bank on its flagship Knowledge Exchange initiative for women’s economic empowerment.
