Miss Banda is a dynamic young leader and humanitarian, dedicated to advancing quality, inclusive education, children’s rights, peace, security/protection quality, and human rights in Zambia. Deeply motivated by her personal experiences with marginalization and loss, she champions the rights of children and youth with disabilities and women. As Founder of the Zambian Disability Matters Organization, Miss Banda is recognized as an award-winning human rights defender and child safety expert. She serves as a SADC Youth Parliamentarian, is a member of the United Network Of Young Peace Builders (UNOY), a Global Partnership For Education (GPE) Youth Leader, and a Their World Gender Task Force advisor.
Banda is currently furthering her studies in related fields and is building a rescue house for victims of sexual abuse, conflict, and trauma. Her vision is to empower marginalized voices and foster a more inclusive, just society for all.
