Mayabee Arannya

Mayabee Arannya is a feminist activist from Bangladesh who is passionate about advocating for the sexual and reproductive health and rights of youth. She leads all efforts of Kotha, a feminist youth organization that aims to create a culture free of gender norms and gender-based violence in Bangladesh. Kotha works at the intersection of education, youth-perspective research, policy advocacy, and arts. Arannya and her team facilitate Bangladesh’s first fully youth-led comprehensive sexuality education program.

Arannya is also a Global Advisory Board Member of Our Universe Rising, the co-author of Bangladesh’s first youth-centered Peer Education Training Manual (winner of the Share-Net International Small Grants, and a LeadNext Fellow: Ambassador for a Global Future by The Asia Foundation.
