Beginning her public service journey in 2019 as a Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Girl-Child Empowerment, she pioneered the Girls Entrepreneurship and Skills Training initiative with massive success, empowering 1,850 female entrepreneurs and impacting over 5,000 livelihoods.

She founded the Marilyn Okowa-Daramola Foundation, a nonprofit whose projects have combated poverty, fostered women’s entrepreneurship, promoted youth political engagement, and enhanced educational support. Notably, her annual back-to-school campaign and Market Women’s Outreach have empowered 3,300 children and 1,128 women, respectively.
