Mariana Beselga is the Founder and Co-CEO of Strategy and Development at the Policy Hub for Inclusive Development (PHID), Latin America’s first independent Social R&D think tank. PHID co-creates policies and experiments with governments and innovation ecosystems, and builds capabilities to design, test, and scale solutions for inclusive development.
Mariana is an entrepreneur, public-interest technologist, and policy strategist with experience in the United Nations system and think tanks across Latin America, Europe, and Africa. Her work focuses on the international governance of advanced AI, digital development, and institutional capacity-building, supporting governments to build the infrastructure, partnerships, and governance mechanisms needed to responsibly develop, deploy, and govern AI as a public good. She holds a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Coimbra (Portugal), with further studies in International Security at the University of Geneva and the Geneva Graduate Institute (Switzerland).
