About María

María is the General Manager of WeShipBox, a logistics company with 13 years of experience that provides courier services, import and export services, packaging services and other complimentary customs services such as clearing special packages and delivery of packages in Costa Rica. WeShipBox uses globally known providers such as Fedex and are well-grounded in import and export laws and import taxes. The company promotes e-commerce by helping businesses expand beyond of Costa Rica. María is a serial entrepreneur and also serves as co-owner and Board VP of 360 Fitness and 7 Dent development. She also serves on the board and volunteers for numerous for and nonprofit organizations including Costa Rica chapters of Junior Achievement and Vital Voices. She holds a specialization certificate in Franchising from the Monterrey Institute of Technology in Mexico and a Bachelor of Business Administration from University of Costa Rica. María has expertise in sales, marketing and start-up businesses.

What María hopes to gain from the VV GROW Fellowship:

María is passionate about learning and applying what she learns, and is always looking for opportunities to give and receive. She looks forward to learning new tactics for ameliorating her business’ finances and is looking forward to networking with other fellows and learning from their experiences in their own companies.

María can offer her mentoring and coaching skills. She also loves connecting people with similar interests and bringing them together.
