About Marcela:

Marcela is the CEO of Tourismo 360 Consultoria. Started in 2011, the company believes in tourism as a tool for sustainable economic development and brings together a team of experts in tourism, local development and public policy. Tourism 360 Consultoria provides mini-courses, lectures, workshops and training on governance, tourism and environment. Their goal is to make tourism destinations more competitive, helping them to plan and define public policies to achieve integrated tourism management. They strive for excellence and innovation and believe in planning and developing the best strategies to guide tourist destinations to be more sustainable. They support the elaboration of local, regional and sectoral development strategies. In their work, they prioritize improving local infrastructure and identifying the best sustainable opportunities. Tourism 360 Consultoria believes that the transformative power of education must connect with tourism destinations and professionals. In addition to her work with Turismo 360 Consultoria, Marcela is also the International Liaison officer of UNWTO Academy (United Nations World Tourism Organisation). Marcela’s experience includes tourism, coordination of territorial and sustainable development projects, strategic planning, and team coordination. She studied tourism at Pontificia Universidade Catolica de Minas Gerais in Brazil and received her Masters in Tourism Business Management from the University of the Balearic Islands in Spain.
