Marcela Fujiy

Founder and CEO, Be.Labs

Marcela Fujiy is the Founder and CEO of Be.Labs, a women-led accelerator focused on supporting women entrepreneurs in Brazil’s North, Northeast, and Central-West—regions historically excluded from the country’s innovation and investment agendas. Through Be.Labs, Marcela has developed and implemented a unique methodology that combines business education, emotional resilience, and collective empowerment to reduce gender and regional inequalities.
The organization’s core programs include the Efeito Furacão methodology, a 10-week group and mentoring journey; Furacao.ai, Brazil’s first AI platform designed specifically for women entrepreneurs; and Mentore.se, a peer-mentoring network that fosters trust, confidence, and business support among women. Since its founding in 2018, Be.Labs has supported over 3,500 women-led businesses, the majority led by Black, Indigenous, and rural women. The organization’s work contributes directly to UN SDGs 5, 8, and 10.
Marcela also leads the Be.Labs Institute (IBL), a nonprofit branch launched in 2023 to scale impact through research, advocacy, and collaboration with public and private sectors. Prior to founding Be.Labs, Marcela built a 20-year career working in multinational companies in Brazil and Sweden, and has served on corporate boards and franchise leadership roles.
She holds a Law degree and certifications in Project Management and Strategic Leadership. Fluent in Portuguese, English, Spanish, and Swedish, she brings a global lens to local action. Marcela believes true transformation begins at the margins—and she is committed to making sure that womens voices not only rise, but lead.
