Focus Areas

Maica Teves is the Executive Director of SPARK Philippines, an NGO working for women empowerment and gender equality. The women’s economic empowerment portfolio of SPARK Philippines has launched and implemented initiatives that address the needs of women towards economic independence and give them access to economic opportunities. It has capacitated over 7,500 women who are now thriving entrepreneurs, business partners and economically empowered individuals.

Teves has over 20 years of multisectoral managerial experience engaging with different stakeholders in government, civil society, and the private sector. She has worked in both the Philippine Congress and the Senate of the Philippines, and is a member of the Philippine Development Council as the Representative of the women’s sector.
