Lyndah Christine Jakandang’o is the Founder and Executive Director of the Solidarity with Children with Disabilities Initiative (SCDI), a Kenyan nonprofit advancing menstrual health, disability inclusion, girls’ empowerment, and environmental sustainability. Through its One Plastic One Pad initiative, SCDI transforms plastic textile waste into reusable menstrual products known as Nyadhi Pads. The innovation is certified by the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) and recognized by Good Market for its quality, sustainability, and social impact.

Jakandang’o is a counseling psychologist, researcher, and social entrepreneur with experience in mental health, psychosocial support, child protection, disability inclusion, and community development. She has presented and contributed to international research conferences, published opinion articles, and leads evidence-driven initiatives that advance gender equality, environmental sustainability, and opportunities for marginalized communities.
