Lucy Ezemba is the Founder of Safera, a social enterprise working to make digital spaces safer for African women. Safera provides trauma-informed, AI-Powered support for survivors of technology-facilitated gender-based violence and connects them to trusted resources. Its mission is to restore dignity, safety, and voice to women so they can live and thrive without fear.
Lucy also works with PolicyLab Africa, where she designed and managed programs on civic tech, digital rights, Digital Literacy, Spyware & Surveillance, Internet Freedom and advocacy across Africa. She has contributed to a regional research project with WACSI that mapped the state of digital rights in Nigeria, Ghana, and Liberia. Through these roles, she has gained extensive experience leading programs, research, and coalitions focused on gender justice and digital inclusion.
