Lucky Michael is the Founder and Executive Director of the Environmental Conservation Community of Tanzania (ECCT). Their mission is to empower local communities in order to create cleaner, greener, healthier, resilient, and sustainable environments by tackling global environmental pollution from plastic waste, Climate Change, and loss of biodiversity.

Through her organization, Lucky works with a diversity of people, marginalized communities among them (women, children, and youths). Currently, she’s working with young women from the local community through the She Leads Green Action Program, aimed at empowering them with knowledge, skills, and environmental best practices. She has also worked in many grassroots and non-profit organizations, including Golden Mamas Group and Panda Initiatives in Dar es Salaam, both of which are women-driven platforms operating in Tanzania.
