One Iloilo was developed as a response to the economic struggles of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) of Iloilo during the COVID-19 pandemic. The goal was to help organize and create avenues for the economic recovery of the MSMEs producing locally made products, specifically Hablon, the handwoven textile from Iloilo. Hablon is traditionally made using abaca, piña, and cotton.
Luanne Lei Ramos is one of the pillars behind One Iloilo. Her commitment to serving the community by creating sustainable social enterprises and programs is the driving force behind her success. She was previously a Board Director of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Iloilo Chapter and helped pioneer the Chamber’s flagship programs. As a social entrepreneur, Luanne has been sharing her knowledge with students and has mentored start-ups under the Active Citizens Philippines – Western Visayas.
