Lola Akinmade (Åkerstrom) is the Founder of Geotraveler Media, a Stockholm-based creative storytelling agency and academy, and director of ATTVARA Foundation, where she champions discoverability for underrepresented Nordic authors. Through Geotraveler Media Academy, she trains the next generation of travel storytellers, while her ongoing body of work, ÅFRÖNỌ̀RDÍC, explores African heritage and belonging across the Nordic region, transforming personal narrative into a platform for cultural documentation and community building.

Akinmade is an international bestselling NAACP-nominated author published in 15+ language editions and award-winning travel photographer who has dispatched from 70+ countries for the likes of National Geographic, CNN, BBC, and Conde Nast Traveller, to name a few. She has collaborated with major brands across the globe, building a professional foundation spanning over 15 years of branded visual content and multimedia storytelling.
