Laura Ortiz is the CEO and founder of Gingerly, a company focused on creating clean and sustainable cosmetics and skincare products, such as a coral reef-safe sunscreen with the highest SPF. They are focused on tourism and daily routines and making products with the highest quality standards, all while raising awareness about their impact on our ocean and natural assets. They support the UN Sustainable Development Goals by creating products that protect underwater life, taking part in beach cleanings, and having 100% of their shares owned by women. Since Laura started Gingerly, they’ve won a FedEx grant for small businesses, working with biologists to make experiences and educate and have more than 10 points of sale, including hotels. Her mission is to show that sustainable products created in the Dominican Republic have quality and are worthy, as well as preserve life as we know it and help people be conscious.
