Youth Empowerment and Self-Sustainability is a youth-led organization that strives to impact 1000 youths in marginalized communities, including women, girls, and refugees. The organization works to accomplish goals that are in-line with UN SDGs while serving to achieve its main objective of empowering young people to develop initiatives that enables them to become self-employed and create positive change within their communities.
Frimpomaa is the CEO and Fouder of Youth Empowerment and Self-Sustainability (YESS). She is also a distinguished research consultant in humanitarian response with the Refugee-Led Research Hub. Frimpomaa holds a Master’s degree in Political Science and has an impressive academic background in gender equality, gender-based violence, human rights, climate change, governance, public policy, and refugee issues. Her experience spans notable organizations such as AGNES, RLRH, Defyhatenow, Plan International, Cameroon Red Cross, UNICEF, and Bridging Development Gaps.
Frimpomaa’s achievements have earned her scholarships and fellowships, including the European Forum Alpbach, YALI West Africa, and Drexel University’s Civic Engagement Exchange. She is dedicated to career development and mentorship of young girls while fostering positive change in her community.
