Jothimani Sennimalai

Jothimani Sennimalai is a Member of Parliament in India and has been involved with the Indian National Congress party for the past two decades. Previously, Jothimani has served in roles ranging from Indian Youth Congress General Secretary to Council Member of the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee.
She ran for office in the Tamil Nadu state assembly election in 2011 and in the general elections in 2014 and in 2019. She participated in the Vital Voices of Asia conference in 2010 in New Delhi.
Jothimani holds a bachelor’s degree from Sri G.V.G. Visalakshi College for Women and was elected as Chairman of the College Students Union while in college. She holds both master’s degrees in both arts and philosophy from Annamalai University.
She was selected as a Fellow for the 2019-2020 VV Engage Cohort.
