Jennyfer is a journalist and expert in innovation and international business. She currently leads a company, Softpower Connections Consulting, which helps governments and companies promote innovation and bring their businesses to an international scale.

She has been involved in public policy for more than 20 years, focused on public diplomacy, country brand and international promotion of exports, tourism and investment, developing promotional activities in more than 35 countries. As the Assistant Director of ProChile, the Chilean promotion bureau, she created the Chile Week initiatives that gather private-sector and public representatives in unique multi-sectoral events that have been held in China, the United States and many other countries. She also designed a program to increase women’s participation in international trade and developed the innovation department to accelerate startups and expose entrepreneurs to international networks. Jennyfer has worked on policy and international promotion by advising companies, NGOs and governments as well as teaching at universities and lecturing internationally.

She began her career as a journalist, working in a prominent Chilean TV station and newspaper, as well as other media outlets in Latin American and Europe. She interviewed global leaders such Michail Gorbachov, Mario Vargas Llosa and Shimon Peres, among others. In the late 1990’s, she worked as a Press and Culture Attaché at the Chilean Embassy in Per√∫, focusing on public diplomacy, international communication and marketing. She is a Reuters Foundation Fellow and a mentor in StartUp Chile, the leading accelerator in Latin America.
