Jaya Tiwari Jaya Tiwari, is currently Sr. Manager Implementation at Maitrayana Charity Foundation. She did her Master’s Degree in Human Development, S.N.D.T University, Mumbai and did desertion on Home Based Care for People Living with HIV. She also qualified for the National Eligibility Test and has earned a Junior Research Fellowship. She started working at Naz India in 2000 as a Research Assistant for an ICRW ( Masculinity study), worked with Parivar Seva Sansthan as a Clinic in charge, and also as officer in V.V. Giri National Labor Institute. From 2009, Jaya started her journey in Sports for Development sector with Goal program. Over the past 15 years the programme has reached more than 130,000 girls across India with Netball and Life skills program. Her vision for Maitrayana is to achieve a gender equal society in which girls and women can exercise their rights by leveraging the power of sport. She ensures high quality design and execution of sports for development programme exclusively for girls. She manages grants and is instrumental in the further development of the Young People’s Initiative program of Maitrayana. Jaya manages a team of 70 young leaders and builds relationships with a variety of stakeholders. Jaya provides trainings on HIV, Child protection, Sports for Development, Leadership and Sexuality. She has attended various leadership conference organised by Dasra (India), American Express, Women Win (Netherlands) and Laureus (UK) and has been a member of Global networks like Vital Voices and Woman Sports Leadership Academy (University of Chichester).
