Focus Areas
Jane Kim is the Founder of KindEd, a social media and AI literacy program that helps students build healthy digital habits and self-awareness. Students in low-income and marginalized communities report higher rates of screen use, facing disproportionate impact from engagement-driven technology. Designed to address how this technology affects student development, learning, and relationships, KindEd uses cognitive behavioral methods and inquiry-based learning to support behavior change and youth wellness.
Kim spent nearly a decade as a public school teacher in under-resourced Chicago communities. She developed KindEd while earning her master’s degree at the University of Chicago, where she was named an Obama Foundation Scholar and later a Tarrson Social Venture Fellow.
“As a visionary leader, I will plant kindness everywhere so every child grows up with love for themselves and others.”
