Isla Dayane Andrade Santos was selected as a participant in the 2019 Voces Que Inspiran.

Isla is in her second year of Law School at S√£o Paulo University, a university that was internationally recognized in 2018 as the second best in Latin America. She has a passion for human rights and its intersections and is mainly focused on gender and class debates. She is the co-founder and executive director of the legal unit of the Instituto Semear non-profit organization, which is at the frontline of the struggle against inegalitarian access to high quality higher education in Brazil. Isla was also elected representative of the MERCOSUR Youth Parliament for the national delegation of 2016-2018, where she defended a project proposing more debate on the civic positioning of the youth in her community.
