Immaculate Nalwadda

Immaculate Nalwadda is a Youth Councilor for the Kampala City Council Authority in Uganda. A former student athlete, she is interested in using sports to promote gender equality.
Immaculate serves as the director of Sports Women Connect Foundation, a foundation that aims to increase the visibility of women’s sports in the media and in everyday life, in order to inspire people to play their part at every level and make sports normal for women and girls. She is also a member of the Global Sports Mentoring Program, an initiative of the U.S. State Department. In 2018, Immaculate was a Women4Women award winner for the 20 Most Influential Women in the Community under the sports category.
Immaculate holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Kyambogo University and a master’s degree in Olympic Studies from the University of Cologne.
She was selected as a Fellow for the 2019-2020 VV Engage Cohort.
