Harshanisha Parejan is the Founder and CEO of Tuqqin, a social enterprise committed to promoting sustainable menstrual hygiene solutions in marginalized communities. At Tuqqin, she leads a mission to empower women through access to eco-friendly menstrual products, focusing on breaking cultural stigmas and ensuring long-term health and environmental sustainability. The company offers products like menstrual cups and provides educational programs that have reached over 10,000 women by partnering with schools and colleges across India. Tuqqin directly aligns with several UN Sustainable Development Goals, including Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3), Gender Equality (SDG 5), and Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12). Under Harshanisha’s leadership, Tuqqin has become a driving force in reducing menstrual waste and promoting gender equity. With a Master’s degree in Psychology, Harshanisha’s background in women empowerment and her experience as an executive assistant to top CEOs have honed her leadership skills and passion for social change. Her work is driven by a commitment to create inclusive and sustainable solutions that address critical health challenges while empowering women to take control of their reproductive health and well-being.
