Focus Areas
Haja Isatu Bah is the founder of Uman4Uman, a social enterprise that focuses on addressing the issue of period poverty and menstrual product waste among young girls and women with reusable menstrual pads and menstrual health education. Uman4Uman has worked with over 5500 girls and women in Bah’s home country, Sierra Leone, teaching them about menstrual hygiene. Bah is currently working on a comprehensive menstrual health management guide.
Bah has a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from Skidmore College. She is a two-time TEDx speaker on the topics of education for climate action as well as on merging a love for learning and an entrepreneurial spirit. Bah is strongly passionate about issues affecting women and the environment.
