Gloriah Nandawula is the Founder and CEO of FreshRoots AgriWorks Uganda Limited, a social enterprise dedicated to empowering small-scale urban farmers, especially women and youth. FreshRoots addresses critical challenges such as low farmer incomes, post-harvest losses, and limited market access by equipping farmers with skills in agribusiness, value addition, and entrepreneurship. Through its innovative approach, the organization transforms agriculture from subsistence into a pathway for prosperity and resilience.

Previously, Gloriah co-founded Women Smiles Uganda, where she championed women’s empowerment through education, vocational training, and advocacy. With over five years of experience in entrepreneurship, agribusiness, and community development, she has impacted hundreds of women and youth by equipping them with tools to build sustainable livelihoods.
