Gisubizo Abi Gaelle is a dynamic Rwandan social entrepreneur and the visionary founder of Dope Initiatives, a pioneering organization transforming sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) for adolescents in sub-Saharan Africa. In this role, Gaelle leads a team committed to creating bold, youth-led solutions to period poverty, teenage pregnancy, and HIV infections.

Under Gaelle’s direction, Dope Initiatives has already empowered over 19,200 young people with the knowledge, tools, and services they need to thrive. Imagine a world where every girl has access to menstrual products with dignity, that’s the reality Gaelle is creating with the Keza Pad Bank, Rwanda’s first sanitary pad vending machine for schoolgirls. And with the Keza Quiz Game, she’s turning SRHR education into an engaging, interactive experience.

Gaelle’s work directly advances critical UN Sustainable Development Goals, paving the way for Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3), Quality Education (SDG 4), and Gender Equality (SDG 5). Her unique blend of innovation, compelling storytelling, and deep community engagement is not just driving change, it’s inspiring a movement.

Gaelle is a catalyst for lasting social change in Africa, recognized by the Innovation Accelerator, EU Africa Hacthon, Harvard HealthLab Accelerator, and Hanga Pitch Fest. Driven by a profound commitment to equity and dignity, Gaelle combines her PMP certification with her ongoing master’s studies in Development Studies to fuel sustainable impact through community-powered innovation. With a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations and Diplomacy, she’s not just building projects; she’s building a better future, one initiative at a time.
