Gabrielle Arruda is a software engineer and has a degree in Science and Technology and Neuroscience from the Federal University of ABC in São Paulo, Brazil. At just 23 years old, Gabrielle has already received international recognition in mathematics and social entrepreneurship. She has also been selected to participate in various programs and institutions such as One Young World, the International Youth Summit in Pakistan, and the Crossroads Emerging Leaders Program at Harvard University.
Gabrielle is passionate about inspiring other young women to get into STEM. She takes part in various activities to promote women’s STEM such as participating in exhibitions by women in mathematics, organizing conferences – such as the Latino Internet Issues Conference (YouthLACIGF) and the Brazil Conference – and with articles published in magazines such as Malala Foundation Magazine. Gabrielle currently works at the intersection of technological and public health. She is working on understanding how we, as a society, can help each other monitor, reduce and prevent the diseases that plague us. Gabrielle believes wellness is critical for social prosperity.
