Bigarura leads Fondation Redonner de l’Espoir, a community initiative supporting vulnerable and conflict-affected girls and children in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. The organization provides mentorship, education, leadership development, and psychosocial support to help them rebuild confidence and shape their futures.
Bigarura is a social activist and advocate for girls and children’s rights with experience working in conflict-affected communities. She has led community-based initiatives, collaborated with local leaders, and participated in conferences and workshops to advance child protection and gender equality. She is a laureate of the Julienne Lusenge Prize 2025, recognizing her impact in promoting the rights of women and girls in DRC.
