Focus Areas
Faith Agutu is the Founder of Waves of Change for Women Network (WOCWNET), a soon-to-be registered community-based organization rooted in Western Kenya. WOCWNET works to empower women and girls, amplify children’s activism, and advance access to education, justice, and sexual and reproductive health rights in rural communities. Through her initiative, Agutu envisions a society where women and girls are free, celebrated, and equipped with the tools to thrive.
Agutu holds a First-Class Honours degree in Gender, Women, and Development Studies. She currently serves as a GRIC Cohort 6 Fellow and an Ipas Champion, where she continues to advocate for gender justice in conservative spaces. Her work also includes mentoring young girls, championing access to justice for survivors of gender-based violence, and engaging in feminist-friendly advocacy at the grassroots level.
“As a visionary leader, I aspire to nurture empowered women and girls who will define a just and equal future.”
