Mapa do Acolhimento is a nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing gender-based violence and preventing femicide in Brazil. By connecting survivors with a network of psychologists and legal professionals, Mapa offers trauma-informed care and advocacy to women in crisis, while also working to strengthen public policies around violence prevention.

Enrica Duncan’s background includes nearly a decade of leadership in nonprofit spaces, particularly in the gender field. She is the Executive Director of Mapa and currently serves as an Obama Scholar at Columbia University. Duncan studied politics at the New School and Conflict Resolution at the University for Peace. She was granted the French Government Initiative Marianne for Human Rights Activities and sherves as an expert in the Women’s Safety group at Meta.
