Emelda Mwamanga

Emelda is the CEO of BANG! Magazine, a boutique print and online magazine dedicated to professional women. The magazine offers in-depth stories that empower, inspire, and celebrate African woman’s diverse accomplishments in all spheres including politics, business and finance, fashion and beauty, health and wellbeing, parenting and more. BANG! Stands for Beautiful African Natural Goddess and its motto is to ‘Believe And Never Give up!” and the featured articles showcase the best of what women are and who they hope to become. The magazine consists of a core group of experienced business professionals who believe that professional women are in need of a resource for best practices and shared success in business and beyond. Emelda holds a Bachelor of Social Science degree from the University of Cape Town and is a member the Tanzania Business Association and the Tanzania Private Sector Foundation. She is a 2009 Vital Voices Fortune-U.S. Department of State Global Women’s Mentoring Partnership mentee and was mentored by Ann Moore, retired CEO of Time Inc. Emelda is also an alumna of the Africa Leadership Initiative (ALI) She was awarded as Africa’s Most Influential Woman in Business and Governance by CEO Magazine South Africa in 2014 and was selected as one of TIAW’s 100 Most Influential People in Washington DC in 2012. Emelda has also organized a Vital Voices Global Mentoring Walk in Tanzania for the last 10 years.
