Eli-Anne Anwi Tembeng is the Founder of Hope for a Better Tomorrow (HOBET). At HOBET, we advocate for the rights of survivors of Sexual Gender Based Violence (SGBV), their reintegration into the community, and education around Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE). Through this, we started the Rape My Fight Our Fight Campaign (#RapeMyFightOurFight) which encourages everyone to be actively involved in ending rape culture in our communities. We are also working with Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) to encourage period education by providing menstruation lessons and kits and advertising with the caption #GiftThemMenstrualKits. Tembeng works with HOBET as an activist and gender anchor handling all GBV cases, counseling, and carrying out awareness raising in communities and social media.
“As a visionary leader, I strive to see an equal community where there is mutual respect and Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) is not a taboo.”
