CEO and Founder, The Nicnax Company Ltd
Ejiro Jakpa is the founder and chief executive officer of The Nicnax Company, an Agrofood processing company with innovative solutions to convert staple foods into nutritious foods whilst creating markets for smallholder farmers. The Nicnax Company manufactures affordable and nutritious food and snacks, and in the process creates jobs and strengthens supply chain partnerships with farmers, while empowering aggregators of various products and services. Their products include Nutee Peanut Butter, Nicnax Granola, oat flour, and honey. Alongside Ejiro’s entrepreneurial passion, she is an advocate and a champion for SMEs, and women founders. She actively encourages budding entrepreneurs through public speaking, training, and mentoring sessions, to look beyond the obvious challenges (most notably, capital), and to draw on their inner reserves of passion, creativity, and faith to navigate the boisterous waters of small business. Ejiro is a graduate of Computing Studies from London Southbank University with a double master’s in Innovative Manufacturing and Management & IS from Cranfield University. She has over 20 years of experience as a senior professional within the IT, financial services, and consumer electronics retail sectors. Her future vision for herself as an entrepreneur is to build a pan-African brand from Nigeria of global repute that stands the test of time.
