Eby Onaku

Eby Onaku is the founder and owner of Elcornel Business Enterprise. In her role, she is responsible for overseeing all the activities in the company, including maintaining the company’s vision, mission and strategic plan, setting up systems and procedures to ensure success over time, communicating with employees, and more. Elcornel Business Enterprise is focused on growing fresh, safe, quality food while protecting the environment using greenhouse farming techniques. Their goal is to be the number one household brand for fresh food by 2050. Elcornel Business Enterprise is focused on empowering young girls and women by employing and training them in sustainable farming techniques. They continue to experiment with ways to provide cheaper and more efficient methods in an effort to drive progress on SDG 2, Zero Hunger, and SDG 8, Decent Work and Economic Growth in their community. Before Eby decided to become a farmer, she obtained a degree in Geography and Planning and has worked with British American Tobacco, Guinness Nigeria, and Habanera Limited (a member company of Japan Tobacco) in progressive sales roles for over 13 years. Eby is committed to continuous professional growth and learning, a high level of integrity, transparency, and great respect for people. One of her passions is helping people find solutions to their problems and that is why she has committed her time to volunteering
