Clydie Pasia, a Program Officer at the Coalition Against Trafficking in Women – Asia Pacific (CATW-AP) was initially connected with the organization in 2007 as a participant in its first Young Women’s Camp on Gender Issues, Sexuality and Prostitution. Now a staff member of CATW-AP, she organizes anti-trafficking trainings and develops prevention measures for youth, members of the local Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking, and for vulnerable communities identified as source areas of trafficked women.

Ms. Pasia has ample experience speaking at and facilitating trainings for youth and survivors of trafficking and prostitution in the Asia Pacific region, specifically in India, Indonesia and the Philippines. She also supports survivors of trafficking and other forms of violence against women and children from rescue to reintegration, including assisting them in legal battles. Ms. Pasia anchors CATW-AP’s weekly radio program, Aksyon Kababaihan (Women, Act), which is aired across the Philippines. Ms. Pasia has participated in both local and international trainings and workshops focused on curbing the demand-side of trafficking. She was selected to speak about the human trafficking in the Philippines at the Youth Symposium on Trafficking at the Vatican.
