Bridgette Kyalimpa Babigumira

Focus Areas

Babigumira is a feminist researcher and advocate leading AFRAD, a Ugandan organization working to advance gender justice, civic engagement, and digital resilience. AFRAD strengthens feminist leadership through research, advocacy, and capacity-building, with a focus on protecting civic space and amplifying women’s voices in public life.

Previously, Babigumira worked in policy research and youth engagement, and has led initiatives focused on sexual and reproductive health, digital rights, and community organizing. She currently supports regional collaborations to advance intersectional feminist advocacy in East Africa.
