Betty Nairuba is the CEO of Concern for Neighbours and Community Empowerment (CONECE), which addresses the economic needs of women and teenage mothers with disabilities by providing vocational and entrepreneurship skills, start-up equipment for self-employment and income generation, and assistive devices for those with mobility disabilities.
Nairuba has worked for several non-government organizations, both in Uganda and the United Kingdom. She completed her bachelor’s degree from Makerere University Kampala in Uganda and a master’s degree in International Development Management from the University of Westminster in the United Kingdom.
