Bahati Mgogwe is the Founder and Executive Director of Girls First Initiative (GFI), a women-led organization in Tanzania working to empower adolescent girls and young women through education, health, and economic opportunities. GFI’s mission is to create pathways for girls to overcome barriers, build confidence, and achieve their full potential through mentorship, skills development, and community-driven solutions.

Mgogwe is a social entrepreneur, educator, and gender equality advocate with experience leading programs that have reached thousands of girls across Tanzania. She has built partnerships with communities, government stakeholders, and global organizations to advance girls’ rights, leadership, and sustainable development.
