Awele Okigbo is the CEO and Founder of Credo Advisory, a leading strategic communications firm based in Abuja, Nigeria and Washington, DC. She is also host of Credo Voices, a podcast highlighting extraordinary individuals advancing social impact and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Okigbo is growing a global community of change agents by highlighting their journeys, achievements, and impact in their communities and beyond.
For more than 25 years, Okigbo has led communication teams for institutions like the World Bank, the United Nations, and the United Kingdom’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, among others. In 2022, she was recognized for advancing SDG No. 3 (good health and well-being) and was inducted into the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Goalkeepers Community. Okigbo is co-chair of the Global Communications Alliance, a member of the Communications Board Committee of the Society for International Development, and the Board of Trustees at the Thacher School, USA.
