Founder and CEO, The Remedy Project (TRP)

Archana Kotecha is the CEO and Founder of The Remedy Project (TRP) working to redefine the standard for responsible business conduct. Through dynamic stakeholder engagement, TRP works with companies to design rights-based compliance strategies, pilot creative frameworks for worker protection, and push new industry benchmarks that center the rights-holder perspective.
A UK-qualified barrister, CEDR-accredited mediator, and former corporate lawyer, Archana brings over 15 years of experience advising the IOM, ILO, UNICEF, ASEAN bodies, governments, civil society, and the private sector across Asia. She is a regional expert on forced labour and human trafficking, and her legal approach seeks innovative solutions grounded in commercial realities and complex regulatory environments.
At The Remedy Project, Archana leads efforts to convert regulatory compliance from a reactive burden into a proactive driver of systemic change—supporting clients to meet their obligations while protecting thousands of workers across global supply chains. This work advances UN Sustainable Development Goals 5 (Gender Equality), 8 (Decent Work), and 10 (Reduced Inequalities).
An alumna of the London School of Economics and the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program, Archana has received the Emilie Ashurst Anti-Slavery Award and was named a Financial Times Top 10 Innovative Lawyer in Asia-Pacific. She sits on multiple expert committees including for the OHCHR, FSC, and the Responsible Business Alliance. Archana is driven by a belief in justice, dignity, fairness and the potential to transform the lives of worker communities across the world.
