Aradhana Rai Gupta is the Co-Founder of Project Baala, a social enterprise delivering innovative menstrual hygiene solutions and driving systemic change in women’s health and rights. She was recognised by Forbes 30 Under 30 for her work in social impact in 2025.
An MBA graduate from Cornell University and an Economics alumna of St. Stephen’s College, Aradhana began her career at Procter & Gamble and EY, working across marketing and risk advisory. She further deepened her expertise in sustainability leadership at the University of Cambridge, supporting global organizations to embed sustainable change in development efforts. Her passion for community-led action led her to co-found Project Baala with her childhood friend, Soumya Dabriwal. Since inception, Baala has distributed 3 million reusable pads, conducted 8,000+ menstrual health workshops, and reached over 1 million women and girls across 5 countries. The enterprise is now scaling to impact 2 million girls and create 5,000 women-led livelihoods by 2026.
Aradhana’s work has been recognized by platforms such as BMGF Goalkeepers, USAID, Acumen Angels, Villgro, NSRCEL, JHPIEGO, NATHEALTH, and ASSOCHAM.Through menstrual health education, intersectional research, and capacity building, Aradhana is challenging silence around gender and health. Her work actively contributes to multiple UN Sustainable Development Goals, especially those related to health, gender equity, and inclusive economic growth by not just meeting targets, but by building lasting systems of dignity, equity, and possibility.
