Focus Areas
Anna Harus is the Director of NGO “Enlightening Initiative” (Ukraine), a UN-partnered organization she built from three wartime volunteers into a peak 300-person team. Operating across eight regions of Ukraine, including five frontline, they served over 217,000 war-affected people through education, child protection, psychosocial support and GBV prevention, while pioneering digital automation tools that enabled rapid donor-compliant scale.
Harus previously worked as a consultant for the World Bank on macroeconomic and poverty analysis. She was delegated by UN Women to represent Ukrainian civil society at the CSO-UN Dialogue on Peacebuilding at UN Headquarters in New York. She holds an MA in Economics from the University of Houston and Kyiv School of Economics, and is a U.S. Department of State Global UGRAD alumna.
“As a visionary leader, I transform frontline experience into replicable models, proving that data-driven and human-centered leadership is a choice, not a privilege of stable conditions.”
