Ankita Singh is the Manager of Business Development at Digital Green India, with 8 years of experience in the agricultural sector. She mobilizes institutional resources, manages donor relationships, forges partnerships and secures philanthropic support, all to advance Digital Green’s mission of creating a world where farmers use technology to build prosperous communities. Currently, Ankita is contributing to the development of Farmer.Chat, an AI digital assistant that provides real-time, personalized agricultural advisories in users’ local languages. Before joining Digital Green, Ankita played a key role in launching sustainable agricultural technologies, such as gravity-based drip irrigation and an AI-based fertigation recommendation application, across North India, particularly in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Punjab. As a Program Lead at the Indian Council of Food and Agriculture, she was instrumental in launching major events, including the 1st World Agriculture Prize presented to Dr. MS Swaminathan, and developing initiatives to improve India’s agricultural marketing infrastructure, information systems, and communication tools for farmers. Ankita holds a B.Tech in Food Technology from SHIATS, Prayagraj, and her career mission is to channel the world’s financial resources into the development of communities that need them most.
