Focus Areas
New Women Connectors is a women-led, grassroots initiative dedicated to ensuring the meaningful participation of refugee and migrant women in policymaking processes. The organization seeks to transform power dynamics by centering lived experiences and promoting inclusive, feminist leadership across critical areas such as climate justice, migration, and gender equality.
Anila Noor has served as the Managing Director of New Women Connectors and is a co-founder of several global refugee-led networks. Through these roles, she has consistently advocated at the highest levels for the rights of displaced women. She also serves as a Spokesperson for the BMZ Action Network, an EU Climate Pact Ambassador, and a WTO Gender Ambassador—positions through which she contributes to shaping inclusive global policies via strategic collaboration and community-driven solutions.
“As a visionary leader, I challenge systemic injustice by creating spaces where displaced women are seen not as victims, but as experts and leaders driving feminist and climate justice on a global scale.”
