Andrea Nava

Andrea Nava has a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from Universidad Rafael Landívar from Guatemala. She is an environmental activist and nature lover, she is a volunteer at Fundación del Bosque Tropical. She created the project “Ponle Nombre a un √Årbol” [Name a Tree], she is Director of “Líderes por el Medio Ambiente”[Leaders for the Environment Project] she is member of the Global Board and Regional Coordinator for the Plant for the Planet Organization. Representative of Environmental Online in Guatemala. She is a member of Coordinación de Alianzas para lograr los ODS. [Coordination of Alliances to achieve the SDGs]. She is also a Spanish-English interpreter at Compassion International Guatemala.
In 2013, she received the 2013 ENO YOUTH HERO Award in recognition of her environmental work, presented by the ENO International Organization. Andrea was a speaker at “El Futuro Posible” [The Possible Future] at TEDx Guatemala in 2015. She was also a virtual participant in the Paris Agreement Signing Ceremony that took place in 2016 at the United Nations headquarters in New York, invited by Mr. Ban Ki Moon. That same year, she took part in the 2016 World Forum for Democracy as the representative for Guatemala, organized by the European Council, in Strasbourg, France. In 2019 she was selected as a participant at Voices that inspire Program, in Argentina. She continues working on environmental education in children and youth.
