Akinyi Ochieng’ is the African Sexual Health Education Alliance founder, a project that seeks to promote comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) as a health and social justice issue in Africa, through building alliances for policy and programmatic advocacy.
Ochieng’ is a versatile and accomplished professional with 14 years of experience in community engagement, program management, research, training, and development. As a passionate advocate for sexual and reproductive health rights for over eight years, she has worked with rural communities in Kenya to promote healthy sexuality among teens. In recognition of her work, Ochieng’ was awarded the AASECT Social Media/Web Series Award in 2023 for her contributions to sex education.
