Agnes Onyekwere

Focus Areas

Onyekwere is a dedicated educator and community developer in Nigeria, addressing severe socio-economic challenges through her initiative, Project MEND. Founded in 2023, Project MEND economically empowers mothers in low-income communities by providing vocational training and resources, thereby combating child hunger and educational failure.

As a public school teacher deeply invested in her students’ well-being, Agnes has successfully raised 3 million Naira from international and local partners, empowering 63 mothers and positively impacting 189 students. She has authored a book and over 60 articles on socio-economic issues in Nigerian education.
