Aehshatou Manu is the Secretary General of the African Indigenous Women Organization Central African Network (AIWO-CAN), where she focuses on identifying the needs of women and girls through trainings, capacity-building activities, project writing, and implementation in Indigenous and local communities in Cameroon.

Aehshatou is an Indigenous Peoples Human Rights and Gender Advocate with over 10 years of experience in community development activities. She has knowledge and a strong interest in public policy and believes in advancing the human rights of marginalized groups and climate change adaptation and mitigation efforts. Aehshatou holds a bachelor’s degree in business law with advanced skills in advocacy, project management, and activism. She is equally experienced in qualitative field research methods.
